In this time wherein face to face instruction is not permitted, technology offers the opportunity for students and teachers to maximize learning even outside schools. However, it could only be beneficial to students who have devices and access to internet and we are fully aware that not all students have this "essential-technology-kits".
I think technology in education in the new normal means "academic bias" since it will only favour those who have these "essential-technology-kits". It is really up to the teachers how to make learning opportunities fair for all students either with or without gadgets.
Teachers who can find themselves at the advantageous side of this increasingly technology driven environment are really efficient in this new set up of education in the Philippines.
Though use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is really sought in this time, we still need the use of traditional technology in teaching.
Traditional technology (as in traditional media such as real objects, printed media, TV and radio) are still needed in teaching and learning since it could be the primary sources of factual information for learners. Factual in the sense that most of the information in traditional media are practically true than those coming from the internet which need to be carefully filtered and verified.
